Crossed
Exponentially Tapered Slots Antenna
Antenna geometry
description (STEP file) and measured results were
obtained from the authors of papers [1,2]. After
import, the inside structure of the model can be
investigated by using cutting planes, or
transparency/hide commands in WIPL-D Pro CAD. Using
only one union operation, we turn the whole model
into a single body ready for material assignment and
meshing.
In fact, it is necessary to assign materials on just
two regions (substrate and coaxial line dielectric)
which is done by a few mouse-clicks...

Vivaldi Antenna
The conventional
Vivaldi antenna typically has at least octave
bandwidth and thus it can be used in many
applications. Vivaldi antenna is placed on
dielectric substrate and because of its complex
shape and size, it is considered not so easy
for modeling and simulation.
Antenna shown here is a balanced antipodal antenna
which consists of a microstrip line and its ground
plane which both gradually flare out. Thus, the
lower operating band limit is determined by the
cut-off mechanism of the flare...

Ultra Wide Band Elliptical Antenna
Ultra wide band
elliptical antenna is a type of a printed antenna.
It is small, simple, lightweight and economical,
often used in UWB transmitters.
UWB antenna topologies are derived from works in
circular and elliptical disc monopoles. In WIPL-D
Pro, this antenna can be modeled in several ways in
order to diminish simulation time and memory
requirements. One can use the Symmetry feature, so
only half of the given antenna is modeled, thus
saving both memory and time.
Antenna is analyzed in frequency band 2 GHz up to 20
GHz... read
