WIPL-D Pro
3D Electromagnetic Solver
WIPL-D Pro is an extremely powerful 3D electromagnetic solver that
provides fast and accurate analysis of arbitrary metallic and
dielectric/magnetic structures.
This user friendly program, with an
easy-to-use GUI, enables you to
create even the most complex 3D models using wires, plates and
predefined 3D objects as building blocks. The Preview window enables you
to see how the changes you make influence the model. Also, you have
access to all data defining node coordinates, wires, plates and other
entities. By defining the coordinates symbolically, you have the total
control over your model in all three dimensions, as well as the
possibility of parametric
sweep analysis over any of the symbols.
A powerful numerical engine
drives this modeling and
simulation tool. Quick and efficient calculations, based on the Method
of Moments (MoM), yield
highly accurate results
(distribution of currents over
surfaces, near field pattern, far field pattern and circuit parameters).
Linear systems formed by MoM are solved by direct (in-core or
out-of-core) or iterative methods.
For electrically large structures,
special techniques are applied in order to reduce memory requirements
and speed-up simulation. Multilevel fast multipole method (MLFMM) is
applied to higher order basis functions and enables memory reduction of
up to 100 times, thus allowing simulation of extremely large structures
on inexpensive workstations.
Smart reduction option is used for antenna
placement setups and can decrease memory requirements up to 10 times.
This option can be used in conjunction with MLFMM.
